These are the four guiding principles of Touchstone Energy. Remember, your community is our community and Marshall County REMC employees contribute alongside you to make it the best it can be.

Marshall County REMC is proud to be the corporate sponsor of Habitat for Humanity of Marshall County since Habitat's inception. Organizational and monthly board meetings are held at our offices. Local Habitat president, John Vialard, is the Member Services Consultant for Marshall County REMC and serves as the point of contact for the local Habitat chapter. We're especially proud to have helped complete the first Habitat for Humanity home in Marshall County in March 1999.

Habitat for Humanity is world-wide organization that helps provide decent and affordable housing. It creates an opportunity for people that have the ability to make a mortgage payment, but don't qualify for a conventional loan to have an affordable home. The future homeowner must also provide sweat equity to Habitat, which could include physical labor to help build their home or work in a Habitat office.

We are fortunate that our local affiliate has overwhelming support from the community. It is a coming together of churches, businesses and people from all walks of life to partner together and work toward a common goal to eliminate poverty housing. Inherently, electric co-ops are tightly intertwined with the communities they serve. Promoting projects like this is an important commitment Marshall County REMC makes for the betterment of the communities we serve. That's the power of human connections!

Marshall County REMC is owned by those we serve -- YOU! Board members and employees are community members. We're local. Your management staff is available to serve your needs and answer your questions. Please feel free to call or e-mail us at any time.
